In a beautiful setting just outside Órgiva in the Alpujarras in sunny southern Spain... Yoga, healing, shamanic workshops and heart opening ceremonial events on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada in Andalucia. This awe inspiring, mountainous location is said to be on a leyline connecting directly with Glastonbury in England. Rich with 30 ancient olive trees, the site has an abundance of other fruit trees and edible plants. Cortijo Benisiete, parts of which are over 600 years old, is set in the valley with 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. Órgiva is about an hours drive south of Granada - location of the famous world heritage Alhambra palace and gardens, and half an hours drive south to the nearest sandy beaches on the Costa Tropica. It is also just over an hour to the sunniest skiing slopes in Europe!
HEALING HOLIDAYS & Mini Retreats:
Having moved into this beautiful Cortijo fairly recently, we are co-creating a haven for healing and a restorative holiday centre that is now open to friends and visitors. Work continues to improve the buildings and gardens. The fruit and other trees we are planting are providing much needed shade and shelter from the occasional strong winds and fierce sun. Our now completed large natural pool or Alberca, most importantly irrigates the land and is a delight to cool off and swim in during the hot summer days and evenings. The meditation pergola is surrounded by a growing medicine garden to support walking the medicine wheel and add to our home grown culinary options.
We welcome voluntary helpers and those interested in supporting the co-creation of this haven for healing and peace for short periods of time. At this stage of development we particularly welcome those with building, woodwork and gardening skills who can stay in the house, caravan or campervan.

Having originally trained as an Iyengar yoga teacher Cathy went on to develop an empathic, gentle yet deep approach to teaching inspired by Vanda Scaravelli and John Stirk. Years of working with awareness of her yoga students various health, relationship and psycho/spiritual issues led to a passion for working in healing and therapy to help clients in their personal growth and spiritual transformation. Cathy studied Reiki, Barbara Brennan Scientific Healing and Shamanism and attended workshops and courses exploring many other healing and therapeutic modalities. Her approach to healing and therapy as well as yoga is intuitive and compassionate, helping clients work on their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues. New programmes for 2024 will focus on navigating the incredible energy shifts experienced by the earth and her inhabitants to help seekers find coherence in their souls path and their emerging divinity as fractals of God or the ALL.
Having trained across multiple disciplines enables Cathy to use a multifaceted, individually tailored approach when working with clients. This helps clients heal and recover from a very broad spectrum of issues covering stress, anxiety, depression, digestive and circulation disorders, insomnia, fibromyalgia, ME and much more. Many clients come seeking help with life transitions or major life changes, wanting to better understand themselves through spiritual exploration. She also offers complementary palliative care in support of those at life's end or diagnosed with terminal illness.
Cathy has practised energy healing as a Barbara Brennan and Reiki practitioner globally. She taught yoga and meditation and ran spiritual courses across Europe, Asia, and Africa and set up a healing, therapy and yoga practice in Brighton and Hove UK. Now based in Orgiva in Andalucia, Spain, Cathy offers shamanic spiritual transformation courses in Orgiva and Las Alpujarras region. She will do distant or in person Barbara Brennan and Shamanic healing in the Alpujarra area of Granada Province. As well as offering online spiritual development courses, Brennan healing and Shamanic therapy in Orgiva and throughout the Las Alpujarras region. Cathy continues to work with and offer healing to her clients in Brighton and Lewes. Recently she offered her transformational course 'Awakening to Spirit' online and will offer other online courses as well as courses and events in Orgiva.
